- Climate Change Risk and Adaption
It refers to the direct impacts of climate change on infrastructure, natural systems, or communities, including hazards such as floods or heatwaves.
The process of preparing for or adjusting to the physical impacts of a changing climate and how effective adaptation planning can help organisations identify and implement practical solutions to build resilience over the long-term.
- Geothermal energy as part of future ready developments
It covers the geological and physical principles behind geothermal energy, the data required to undertake an initial assessment of the potential for geothermal energy.
- Waste Management in the Built Environment
Covers the sustainable management of waste and recycling in the built environment, how developers can ensure that waste and recycling is considered right from the start of the design process through Site Waste Management Plans to minimise the generation of construction and demolition waste.
- PAS 2080: Carbon Management in Buildings and Infrastructure
It ensures everyone is working towards common carbon reduction targets, has a common understanding of the carbon hotspots and works together to bring down carbon emissions. This session introduces PAS 2080, describes the benefits of aligning with it and shows how it can be implemented.
